Notes

  • Overworld Γ· 8 = Nether, Nether Γ— 8 = Overworld. Y is not scaled.
  • Chunk = floor(coordinate Γ· 16); offset inside the chunk = coordinate mod 16 (always 0–15).
  • Region file = floor(chunk Γ· 32), named r.<x>.<z>.mca.
  • Minecraft uses integer coordinates; this tool floors negative numbers the same way the game does.
