Connexion Collective — Terms of Use

  • Effective: 27 October 2026
  • Last updated: 27 October 2026

Welcome to Connexion Collective (the "Site"). The Site is a personal website offering articles, browser-based tools, and reference material.

By accessing or using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please stop using the Site.

1. Definitions

  • The Site — the website and services operated by Connexion Collective and served from connexioncollective.com and its subdomains.
  • Content — text, images, graphics, audio, video, code snippets, data, and other material published on the Site.
  • You — anyone who accesses or uses the Site.

2. Licensing

Different parts of the Site are licensed differently. Unless stated otherwise, the following applies.

2.1 Articles and text: CC BY-NC-SA 4.0

Original articles, essays, and explanatory text on the Site are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).

You are free to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material

Under the following conditions:

  • Attribution — credit Connexion Collective, name the original article, and link back to it
  • NonCommercial — you may not use the material for commercial purposes
  • ShareAlike — if you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contribution under the same licence
  • No additional restrictions — you may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the licence permits

Full licence text: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/

2.2 Code and source: MIT

The Site's source code (repository below) and code samples inside articles are licensed under the MIT Licence, unless stated otherwise.

You may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and even sell copies, provided the copyright and licence notices are retained. The code is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.

2.3 What the above does not cover

  • Branding — the site name, logo, and overall visual design; all rights reserved.
  • Third-party material — quotations, screenshots, and licensed assets remain the property of their owners; check their terms before reuse.
  • Your files — files you process with the online tools, and the results, remain entirely yours. The Site claims no rights over them (the files never leave your browser).

3. Acceptable use

You must not:

  1. use the Site in breach of applicable law or these terms;
  2. interfere with the Site's normal operation, including automated attacks or request volumes beyond reasonable use;
  3. scrape the Site in bulk to train commercial models, or to build a service that competes substantially with the Site, without written permission (non-commercial research and personal reading are unaffected);
  4. remove or alter attribution, copyright notices, or licence markings;
  5. state or imply a partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement that does not exist.

4. Disclaimers

4.1 Information only

Articles, opinions, and tutorials reflect the author's personal views and do not constitute professional advice of any kind (legal, medical, financial, or investment). Decisions you make based on the Site are your own responsibility.

4.2 No warranty of accuracy

We aim for accuracy but make no express or implied warranty about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the content. Material may become outdated; please verify it yourself.

4.3 Online tools

All tools run inside your browser; files are never uploaded, so we cannot view, retain, or recover them.

The tools are provided "as is", with no liability for their output — including possible quality loss, format incompatibility, or failed conversions. Keep an original copy before processing anything important.

4.4 Availability

The Site is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted. We accept no liability for suspension, delay, or data loss caused by maintenance, upgrades, network faults, attacks, or force majeure, but we will make reasonable efforts to restore service.

The Site relies on a small number of third-party services:

  • Hosting and delivery — Cloudflare
  • Comments — Giscus, backed by GitHub Discussions; commenting requires a GitHub account and is also subject to GitHub's terms and privacy policy
  • Subscriptions — via RSS / Atom; no email address or account is collected by us

The Site may link to third-party websites. Such links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement; we are not responsible for their content or conduct.

6. User content and comments

When you comment:

  • you confirm you hold the rights to what you publish;
  • you grant the Site a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable licence to display, store, and distribute that content (comments are stored in GitHub Discussions);
  • you are responsible for its legality, and for any third-party rights it may infringe.

We may remove or block unlawful, infringing, or clearly inappropriate content after receiving a valid notice and verifying it.

7. Privacy and data

  • There is no account or login system on the Site, and we do not actively collect personal identity information.
  • The Site runs no third-party advertising and deploys no cross-site tracking scripts.
  • Traffic statistics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, provided by our hosting provider: it sets no cookies, uses no cross-site identifiers and no device fingerprinting, and records only aggregate page views. No other analytics or statistics service is loaded.
  • Online tools process everything locally in your browser; files never leave your device.
  • Subscriptions use RSS / Atom, so no email addresses are collected.
  • Our hosting provider may keep access logs (such as IP address and User-Agent) under its own practices; that processing is governed by its privacy policy.

8. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms to reflect changes in features or legal requirements. Revised versions are published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

If a change materially affects your rights, we will highlight it on the Site. Continued use after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, excluding conflict-of-law rules.

Disputes arising from these terms or from use of the Site should first be raised with us for an amicable resolution. Failing that, either party may bring proceedings before a competent people's court where the operating entity of Connexion Collective is located.

10. General

  • Severability — if any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force.
  • Language — these terms exist in Chinese and English. In case of conflict, the Chinese version prevails.
  • Entire agreement — these terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Site regarding its use.
